S'women & The Aqua English Project Push for Stakeholder Meeting After High Amount of Queensland Drownings

The S'women Program and the Aqua English Project are organising an important stakeholder meeting on the Gold Coast in order to formally address the needs of the CALD community with relation to drowning incidents in Queensland and Australia. An opportunity exists to formally engage students in English language acquisition and aquatic education. Support from key stakeholder in the community; from education, NFP organisations, re-settlement groups, business groups and tour operators, lifegaurds services and individuals is required. Please post your comments on the latest drowning of the Sudanese man on the Gold Coast, how can we contribute towards the prevention of these deaths? Although S'women has been designed to cater for the specific needs of women from CALD backgrounds, opportunity exists to start programs for males.
